Bill Jolly's Hard Drive is the definition of the ultimate soul band. BJHD is an interracial mix of funk, jazz, soul, latin, blues, gospel, reggae and dance with a hard driving rhythm and a “classic soul” intensity.

Led by 3 time Emmy Award Winning Musical Director Bill Jolly, BJHD features 10 of Philly's best all-star session and touring musicians. After years of backing artists as diverse as Celine Dion, Usher, Grover Washington Jr., Beyonce, Boyz to Men, Stevie Wonder, Teddy Pendergrass and Whitney Houston to name a few, the musicians wanted to play the music that they've always felt in their hearts, but never had the chance to play.

If you love great horns, tight rhythm sections, soulful, gospel-tinged singers and the music of James Brown, Tower of Power , P-Funk, Chicago and Aretha, you don't want to miss the “Hard Drive.”

The band originated as the house band for Gamble and Huff's/ Bynum's TSOP restaurant in Atlantic City 's Tropicana, where they opened playing 7 nights a week for six weeks.

The group was also featured on Penn's Landing's 1 st Summer Soul Series (sponsored by WRNB) and also appeared on WDAS' Unity Day (R and B stage) on the Parkway Aug 21st.
